I remember when Chrome replaced Firefox or explorer because Chrome was the new hot thing and other browsers were shit. So Brave is the new one to take over?

I recommend Vivaldi instead, it's highly customizable and they've already said they're not going to follow along with chrome allowing more ads and tracking etc. Also Brave mines bitcoins and IMHO nothing that does that should be supported period.

I wouldn't call Brave the next Chrome. Most people still use Chrome because they either don't care or aren't tech literate enough to install an alternative browser. I recommend it because it's one of the browsers that I use and it just werks. It has it's own built in adblocker that is fairly robust without breaking websites. When used in combination with uBlock it nukes 95% of ads and annoyances from internet browsing, including youtube ads, without needing to install and configure a lot of addons as would need to be done with Chrome or a Firefox fork.
