bizarre. they’re from freetime, and their name is literally picasso, yet neither of them have the art & crafts hobby. they’re both in the military, which has the potential to be interesting what with sims 2’s lore involving the military and aliens, but their bio is literally just “these newlyweds love each other! what will they do with their lives?!”

I usually give that storyline to Jimmy Phoenix. Every time he gets a call from the Beaker residence someone dies at his house. Then I delete his memories.

Pretty boring. Their genetics is okay, or rather, it is okay if you're using a fixed version where Jessica's template isn't completely busted. I still play with them in my uberhood though, and they're not doing much of anything. I keep them relatively poor and their furniture in low quality to give it a bit of challenge. The only notable thing about them is that the two of them seem to be the only people alive who seem to be able to tolerate Buzz.

i agree with others who say they're boring. that's not too bad when you're playing uberhood though; not everyone can have terribly interesting lives

Forwarding another "boring". All the Freetime families are numbingly boring, Maxis lost their steam when it came to Desiderata.

so what do you do in ts2, create your own neighborhoods?

Yes? And I always create my own Sims too. I've never cared about playing with someone else's characters when I have the option to make my own. I don't mind prebuild neighborhoods since I don't like building houses myself and would rather just decorate them to suit my characters' needs but I couldn't care less about the Goths, Plesants, Lotharios, Grunts etc. Even when I played for the first time after the tutorial my first step was to create my own Sim and play with him. The Sims living there already were just a backdrop to his stories, nothing more. When I learned that I could get rid of them (back then the deleteallcharacters cheat) I did that. After I learned that was actually bad thing to do I went looking for better ways to get rid of them all and found empty templates. After that I never looked back and whenever I have to reinstall the game the first thing I install afterwards is empty templates and all the noTownieRegen mods.
