You get ONE weird feeder kink secret. Sorry, but that's really more than enough. The other two are unposted.

Im a over 30yo and only recently learned that very heavy-flow periods for up to 10 days on a row is it NOT the norm for most women
And proably why my mother would shame me for not being able to manage my period as a young teen. I felt like shit using pad after pad and still having accidents, while she "barely needed a bit of toilet paper and never had an accident in her life"
I also needed the large heavy duty pads which she refused to buy me becuase it was shamefull, and would get mad if i went thru a bag of pads too fast cause I was being wastefull
"you dont need to change them when is just a bit of stain, hon" ... but i never dared to answer
" it is Not a bit,it is a LOT and My pad is overflowing already!" Becuase i felt too guilty and ashamed
I never understood how my classmates could use those little pads that look like liners to me and be comfotable, and that made me feel ever more ashamed, like I was broken.
No one ever told, "it is ok,all woman periods are different, some get it harder than others"

To add: this was not in the usa, but in a small country were period products were a lot more expensive, with less variety and less quality than in usa. Large pads were called to be "overnight" only so meant to be for several hours, not to change them min. twice a night like i had to do. There were no adds offering you pads or tampons for "your type of flow," , for me everyone had the same "normal flow", but i was broken

Bitch no, stop listening to your mama and get your stupid ass to visit the gynecologist. Cancer for women is deadly and most of the time always starts with heavy periods and lots of people just ignore it. It could also be a Chocolate Cyst.

I swear I knew countless women who complained about their flow and ended up with complicated issues later on.

like I say, I'm over 30 now so I did stop listening to her a long time ago. she's vey traditional and considered openly talking about periods to be of "bad taste" so I had to learn and then unlearn all by myself. But yeah, TY :) I been to the doctor many times as adult, and there nothing wrong with me

The feeling of being broken and unfit to be a proper decent woman? ... that lingered long tho.

I'm under 30 and my mom has always been the other way around, if you go the bathroom just change them all the time even if there is nothing on it now however I'm experiencing in the first two days of my period horrible heavy flow where I often stain everything around I hate it.

I hope to be that mom when my daughter starts going thru her period too, tho I should add that my mom was about 40 when she had her first child, so she is very old and very old-fashioned about everything too (she still around, clear headed for her age, and we maintain contact often, but I stopped sharing more personal stuff with her a long-long time ago)

that's awful, especially for someone who omg had access to pads. I need the strongest tampons and a pad for backup during my heaviest part and I still have leaks. I can't imagine doing it with only pads AND being shamed for it.

No sis, please visit your gyno. 5-7 days is the norm and should only be heavy in the middle. You could have a condition
