Nah, thinking it's necessary to subject a child to a boring ass wedding is what makes you a freak. Weddings aren't for kids. Do you remember attending a wedding as a young child? That shit is torture. Kids don't give a shit about your legal union, they can't even conceptualize that shit yet. The only fun part for a child is the reception, which more likely than not is going to be filled with drunk adults. Not necessarily the best environment for a child.

Your child doesn't need to be a part of everything. It is ok to have experiences without them. Insisting you bring them even to places that are boring as hell for them, is mental illness. Your child will be FINE not attending a wedding lmfaooooooo

"Weddings aren't for kids."
Im gonna be the "well, actually" person here and say that is a cultural.thing. in many countries the unofficial rule is "weddings are for families" the newlyweds and their families, including children. I never heard of child-free weddings until social media made this american trend popular.

I personally don't mind kids buuuut if one is prone to having outbursts and acting out, I wouldn't want that particular kid there. Regular kid rowdiness is expected and fine, but one who screams and throws mega tantrums isn't welcome.
