I have three small children that all have autism. They are all about a year apart, and for a while I was completely alone with them in a city thousands of miles away from family, throughout the onset of the pandemic. We were trapped in that tiny ass apartment, and our neighbors decided they’d had enough of our noise. Over 300 complaints in five months, CPS and the cops called on separate occasions, I even held my ground to the rental company’s highest contact that I would sue them for ableism if they evict me because my two year old cries. There was no family, no friends, no therapists, no doctors, no teachers. Just me and my autistic children in the blizzards and the pandemic. I’ll always curse those individuals who threatened us that way.

So I made a new family to try out the infants update on Tuesday. I got the pack and now I want to try out the new features in that, buuuuut the infant already has a bunch of milestones achieved I guess by default? Idk. But I decided I want to experience them "for real" by earning them instead of having them unlocked automatically sooooo I'm moving this infant in with a random family and my Sims are going to have another baby. I feel kind of bad about it but I want to actually unlock those milestones lol. This is just a test family anyways because I'm not using my real saves until the mods are updated but I still feel guilty about it lol.

Update: I just moved him in with the Pancakes. 💀 They already have a toddler so at least he won't be the only child. Now my Sims can have a new baby!

Relatable, my dude/dudette... that's why my room is littered with stuff written in English, because my parents can't read the language. It was a confidence boost and rekindled my enjoyment of writing doing it that way, very liberating. Hope you find a way to overcome your perceived block.

mostly agree, it's such a pain to keep up with mods. only modded games i play without their final patch use the steam workshop which simplifies so much of the mod updating process
