002. this shit started bad. this was an online pseudo mobile game. nothing will ever fix it unless it involves ending it and starting anew.
004. my first thought was: "it looks like sims 4", sue me.
005. i hate this about sims 4. in a way it's interesting because you don't need to install a pack you don't want just for one specific functional object you might be interested into, but at the same time i liked the exclusivity of certain objects being locked to certain packs.

boring secrets this week so i'm going to comment on all of them :D

1. you actually just owned yourself by revealing that you watch obnoxious sims e-celebs on twitch in the first place, not to mention the fact that this game is exclusively played by femcels, coomers, cat moms and gay dramawhores anyway
2. i genuinely believe that the current devteam at maxis wouldn't be capable of making a game on par with ts2 or even ts3 if they had all the time and money in the world, if people like grant rodiek, lyndsay pearson and rachel franklin are still calling the shots over there then they're doomed
3. have you heard the good word of our lord and savior analdius? (or just play ts2, or ts3, or literally any other game)
4. animal crossing really has almost nothing to do with the sims + new horizons and this disney bootleg ripoff of it both suck, so
5. i think 2017 was the last year maxis managed to release a sims 4 pack that wasn't entirely composed of objects and gameplay systems copypasted from other eps. they've gotten a lot of mileage out of those city living festivals

1) They are multipurpose. Nice.
2) Yeah they try sometimes with the small stuff but the heart of the game isn't there.
3) lmao but why did you ever buy that pack in the first place? Also, fyi, you can disable specific packs from being enabled. There's a place in Origin... google it and you can not have it active at least.

4 - that Disney game is horrible. They charge so much for early access to a game that’s gonna be free to play. Plus the player characters models are really uncanny and too realistic and completely clash with their environments and the Disney characters. The gameplay and animations are also very lazy. I couldn’t get into it at all.

Completely agreed! Since it's anonymous I can confess here that I bought the early access pack and I'm not going to say which one. :/ I paid money for that shit... and I really regret it. The fact that it'll be free-to-play leads me to believe that they're going to monetize the absolute utter shit out of it once it is, meaning that all these fools (myself included) spent $30+ for a game that will be overloaded with microtransactions like mobile phone games. I actually think it'll get worse with microtransactions once it's FTP... they just don't want it to be that way now at the start because people would fuss if they spent that money on it and then it looked like your typical phone game. The animations are shitty, I agree. My character (I wanted to write Sim lol) was wearing a very basic dress and damn near every animation showed her shorts clipping through the dress, very irritating and cheap-feeling.

Secrets are boring so let's discuss something hopefully bit more interesting: the rumor is that Sims 4 going free means that they're this 🤏 close to finally revealing Sims 5. What are your wants and fears regarding that? My list is...

Wants:
- better art style than in Sims 4 so the imminent Sims 2 conversions will be actually useful stuff that doesn't look like Fischer-Price toys
- not (forced) online multiplayer garbage
- toddlers and all the other age groups included already in the base game
- good modability, preferably with tools for basic modding released already in the launch (such as bodyshop and home crafter were for Sims 2 and Build-a-World tool for Sims 3)
- custom worlds, Christ I hate that I can't build the neighborhoods/worlds I want in Sims 4!

Fears:
- permanently online, multiplayer game
- (young) adults are once again the only age group cared for
- no modding tools and definitely no option to make your own neighborhood/world
- graphics will look like even cheaper mobile game kind than Sims 4 already does...
- because they'll simultaneously release mobile version of the game which will mean that the performance will be capped to utter shit again and the game will soon crumble under it's own weight as they start releasing add-ons.

What are your thoughts?
