I think that secret is bait but lying about Castaway doesn't help disprove a troll. All the skins are the same except the Castaway special skin. I think it makes sense that a lot darker than normal black. I don't think black people tan but they're on an untouched island and aren't those black people blacker because there aren't white people around to mix with?

The most known people in the Sims community are the blandest white people to ever white, not just simsupply. Deligracy, lilsinsie, peacemaker, Carl Sims guides, lgr, that buzzfeed chick, the list goes on and on.

The Sims series as a whole is just 'imagine if you were middle class and white' the game.

That said since he changed his name to James Turner instead of simsupply he has gotten decidedly blander. All tiny homes and rags to riches no one cares about. Same for his other games. There was a spark when he was checking out builds by other people but his building style is stuck in 2016. I fear mine is too (yes yes projecting ik)

Don't know, on YT I saw people in the Game Changer or Network thing program with less than 5k followers. I don't know if it's because they were non-english speaking and we don't have that many well established sims 4 youtubers in my native language?

Maybe the state of the exchange was why they got rid of it for Sims 4. EA fired a lot of people from Maxis after SimCity 2013, so it's possible Maxis had to cut it's exchange moderation team. It sounds weird but makes sense when both story telling and creation were part of the game and now the gallery only features sims and builds, not stories.

I just saw a NSFW post on here and ya know what I did…simply told tumblr it wasn’t for me. I didn’t report it. I didn’t spark outrage. I didn’t try to censor someone else’s creativity. It was simply weird FOR ME. y’all gotta chill tf out. Life ain’t sunshine and rainbows all the time. Not everything is wholesome. In fact so much art is derived from the not so pretty parts of life. It’s…life.

People add wicked whims. No problem. People add violence mods. No problem. People drown their sims in pools and have gameplay solely about making their sims lives a living hell. All good. But simstagram is outrageous??! Cut it tf out. Not only that!! The game has an adoption system and your child will get taken for child neglect….???? Was it somehow implied that all the kids were put up for adoption because they ate too much candy or some shit? Lol In fact wouldn’t it be a more problematic storyline for kids to be snatched from loving homes to be adopted. Cause lemme be real with you…that shit happens!!

And this shit about creators charging for their content. Like stfu about it. Don’t buy it. Tough. What makes you entitled to something someone worked hard to learn. 3D creation is an actual skill that people earn livings for. If it were easy we could all do it but as someone who uses this game for architectural rendering I gladly pay the same four-five creators my money to have one of a kind pieces. It’s no different than buying snacks or paying for cigarettes if that’s your thing. I dropped my weed habit and it happened that I could just use that money for special cc. No big deal. Makes a world of difference to the art I get to create. As an artist I get it. As a consumer…I didn’t get it. As a consumer it’s like you believe you’re entitled to instant gratification. You’ll always want more. Everything is easy and doesn’t require you to be considerate or compassionate to creators but once you fall in love with art, you fall in love with artists—The people that do this out of pure love for the craft and dedicate blood sweat and tears to the craft. As an artist you can’t wait to buy a well made shirt or hang one of a kind canvas in your house that isn’t the same repetitive shit you get from Ross or target. Artists create art for other artists. They can’t care about consumers because all consumers know is to take.

They are real people and some of you don’t even have the humanity to see them that way or consider what it takes to share their creations with this community. That’s why we keep losing them.

It’s like when the hive doesn’t like something they try their best to ruin it for everyone else, even the people that truly appreciate it. It’s misery."

For real. Last year someone in the old LJ simsecret comment recommended her simblr for "good-looking" male sims, and I found a few of them alright. Only to realize not even 2 weeks after that thy ALL.LOOK.THE.EXACT.SAME! Like bitch, wtf? Changing their hair/eye color and occasionally adding some facial hair does not mean they're a completely new sim. I unfollowed her right after. Also, she was (and apparently still is) way too obsessed with all her samey looking sims. Probably installed a sex mod to have her simself get gangraped by all of them at once or smth. Super weird chick.
