So I'm sure you've seen the post put out by Simbelene. I just want to say that we should wait to get all the facts before we make any judgements about CowBuild and Co. Of course, I don't know the whole story and obviously it's not looking good for them right now but let's try NOT accuse CowBuild of being a backstabber, or accuse her and her cronies of being the SimSecret comment trolls, or of supporting the Russian invasion.

These are all claims that are second hand. We don't know if they're true and we DO NOT want to spread false information. Thank you!

Advice on cc to avoid drama

Does anyone know how the sims community feels about replicas? I personally like creating 3d replicas out of game clothing designs aka copies. (It's fun for me to practice by trying to re-create identical stuff)

But if I share the meshes as fully finished cc for the sims (for free), I worry if I'm gonna get shit and face the assumptions of "you didn't make these, these are conversions!"

Maybe I can show a video that I really created all my cc from scratch even if I made them to be replicas of another game's assets. Obviously if someone experienced would look at the meshes side by side they aren't truly identical, but other people don't see that always from the surface.

The worst part is that there are the actual companies. What if they dmca me because they think I stole their stuff and don'tcare to look into it closely, and my blog gets deleted.

So in short is it a bad idea to share cc that I truly made myself, but it looks like it could be a conversion? (Again for free so there's less room to assume that I'd be converting meshes to make money etc.)

2. I'm only surprised they haven't done more packs with requirements tbh. They could then sell them together as a bundle for those who didn't buy the other pack and force people into getting packs they didn't want in the first place, like imagine them publishing something that requires my wedding shit and journey to Batuu, that'd be pure evil.
