5. I've been wondering about that too, but I've been playing an uberhood using her templates since the big coof and nothing bad has happened, so It's probably fine. Hell, now that I think of it, I never had serious issues with corruption even when I was a kid and doing dumb stuff with boolprop. Dead sims going missing from the family tree was the biggest issue I encountered in my long ass history of playing TS2.
9. It's a choice. I get the nostalgia bait aesthetic concept, but not when you're actually trying to share some content in the game.
11. Hot take, but it's their game, they can do whatever they want with it. Grandma moment here, but when I was a kid I was really excited about the OMGWTFBBQ for some reason. Had a sim who lived solely by adopting babies and using them for food. No other form of nourishment allowed.

I wish it were easier to track down forks. Some of the games I play host mods there almost exclusively, and it's so hard to see what derivatives there are of certain projects to avoid me having to wade through an endless Notepad++ screen just to come with the same tweaks some obsessive German guy already made available.

7. It blows my mind that this is real. I honestly thought someone was just trolling when I first saw it. In my eyes, this is an ugly hair that I actively do not want, because you just know that crap is going to spawn on townies to complete #3's look. People are paying MONEY for this?

I don't see why this would seem unbelievable. The internet wasn't centralized during that timeframe, so unless you found a link by chance or were referred by someone else it'd be pretty easy to not find something.

It's also not like you're required to find other people playing The Sims in order to engage with the game, it's a single player game. Yeah people make mods/CC and share it, but there's a sizable amount of people who play The Sims without usings mods/CC, so those types of people wouldn't have much motivation to seek out and get involved in the community.

Also speaking from similar experience, I was a child during most of that timeframe, and my parents gave me 90s internet safety rules like "don't click random links" and "don't download files from unofficial websites." So for me the reason I didn't realize there was an online Sims community is because I actively avoided doing any of the things that would have lead to me discovering it.

Either way though, that would be a pointless thing to lie about. It's not really "dramatic" to learn about something more recently than other people, it's just a thing that happens. If they are lying to be dramatic then they're failing because nobody actually cares how long you've been aware that people who play The Sims post about it on the internet.

Also yeah I know the internet was more centralized/mainstream in the late 2000s and beyond but that's why I said if someone isn't motivated to seek out a community centered around something then they probably won't find it. I only realized there was an online Sims community because I wanted to share my screenshots, if I didn't want to do that then I probably would have taken longer to find it too.

Not solved someone just increased the memory to go from 2 to 3.5gb ir 4gb but once it reaches 4gb your game is crashing even if no pink showed up.

Pink soup has gotten worse since the s3 and s4 conversions that dominate s2. The large texture maps of 1024x for a small deco object that s4 has doesn't work for s2 I don't get why ppl don't get it

08 - I mean, it's believable if the person was like in their 30s in 2001. The internet wouldn't be the default go-to and someone that old wouldn't think to immediately find an online community. But I agree people lie also to make it seem like they're removed from the toxicity of online communities and fandoms. Like, "I just got here so don't lump me in with these people".

013-024 - These are all the same people. Also never do this shit again. wasting our time and yours on these lame ass characterizations that you probably thought were insightful but just go people excited we had a lot of secrets and it's just garbage that could have been one secret

I'm a 24 except I'm messing more with cc than actually playing the game at the moment + I'm playing Witcher 1. I think I'm finally finalizing what I want for Sims 4 so maybe some actual game play soon. Also a bit of 18. I'm a CAS lover. Enjoy making Sims, don't make it far with live gameplay. But at least I get some sort of enjoyment out of the game.

Sometimes I see on my Facebook wall a person I've had as a friend since high school, a straight man who shares disgusting things like wanting to have sex with women and lick va***** 🤢. That idiot practically thinks women are just sex objects.
And to top it all off, that damn rat scammed me. In November 2023, he contacted me on Messenger because he was broke and couldn't get back to the city. At first, I was going to tell him to get fuck, but I finally gave in. He said he'd pay me back the following week, but in the end, he didn't give me a damn thing. I was going to report him, but the people around me told me not to because I'd lose more money than he owed me and have to deal with a lot of paperwork. I have a question
What would happen if, using sims4studio, I extracted the texture, mesh, etc. from some content in the sims 4 marketplace and exported it as CC for the base game? Do you think it would work? These are not objects that offer any unique gameplay. (I don't know if I'm making myself clear)

And yes, I know perfectly well that the marketplace content isn't even worth pirating, since it's stuff you can get on Tumblr. But all this would serve not only to prevent all the marketplace content from becoming lost media when the marketplace closes, but also to make butthurt of the CC creators who take this crap way too seriously *cough cough Sixam cough cough*
