They could remove the option to teleport to another place and replace it with the function of moving to another place using your own vehicle, taxi or walking like in the sims 2

The only possible gameplay change cars would have is now instead of a sim teleporting, they first have to teleport inside of a car you can't see inside, the car teleports, and then the sim teleports outside of the car. Just like TS2 cars, it's novel to see the first few times, but the uselessness of a transportation object when you can't actually watch sims go from one lot to another will become obvious pretty quick.

Hey at least Sims 2 animated them opening the car door, sitting inside, closing the car door and then driving off. That was more animation effort put in a single pointless action than the entire Sims 4 has done in anything in it.

very true. ts2 has so many detailed animations. they started scaling back in ts3 and now in ts4 they recycle and shortcut as many things as they can.
