the car thing seems more like an excuse. i think theyre just lazy

but also, i dont understand why people want cars so badly. with no open world theres no point, it will just mean that when sims leave the lot you have to watch them get in a car first

Yeah because your Sims could do stuff in them like sit and listen to music, woohoo etc.

You don't really genuinely think that they'd add any of that to Sims 4 right? At the best they might teleport "in" the car but the car windows would be opaque since nothing is actually there, they wouldn't bother actually modeling the inside of the car or animate the characters sitting in there. So all you'd have is just sim disappearing into an object which would then also disappear (no driving off animation of course, that'd be too much effort), being stuck in that rabbit hole for hour-couple hours in game time and then the car pops back to the lot and out of the car pops out the sim with +10 happy moodlet saying "rode a car 🙂" such exciting gameplay, well worth the full EP price!

it will make things easier for builders. they'll be able to just drop in garages instead of having to do building tricks and they'll be able to go into the catalogue and pick out a car through the tab instead of having to browse through the debug items
