When do you think the next Sims 4 DLC (that isn't a kit) will come out? I know it'll be disappointing, but at least it gives us something to talk about.

Since we got B&H so early this year, I think it might be a bit of a wait for the next one. Unless they are going to attempt to start pumping out three a year? IIRC, they have two expansion pack teams, so the B&H team has started on a new one that will come out after the other team releases theirs. Would it be possible to release another expansion this summer, and then a third in the late fall/early winter? Maybe.

It seems like game packs are totally dead in the water, which is a shame, because I think those were good. They usually had solid gameplay focused around whatever the theme was. Although like people have said, maybe that team isn't gone, it just got transformed into an expansion pack team, and now we get half-baked expansions for full price instead of game packs...

It seems like we're about due for a stuff pack. We haven't had one of those in awhile. I think the last few we've gotten have been fun, nice additions. Kits are just boring to me. I can't get excited about new clothes or items. Gimme the GAMEPLAY.

So awhile back I bought this candle called "Irish Cream Poundcake". I thought it smelled pretty nice when I sniffed it before lighting it, but many people on Reddit were really, uh, forcefully opposed to it, because to them it allegedly smelled terrible. Every single time I open TS4 lately, I have to click past full-screen ads for the two latest kits. It's really pissing me off. If they want to do that once when the kits first come out, fine. But it's been over a week and I still get those every time I load it. Fuck off EA, I'll NEVER buy those.

Question: If you have Lovestruck, do you modify townies' turn ons and turn offs? My Sim has become engaged to another Sim, but one of her turn offs is flirting. So any time they flirt, she loses romantic satisfaction. It's a little bit annoying, but in a way it almost feels like cheating if I go in and change it.

Second question: If you marry in a Sim and they aren't a werewolf/vampire/whatever... but their aspiration has to do with that life state... would you let them do it or say nah you just have to be unfulfilled?

1) Yes I modify townies turn on and offs if I think I'm going to play with them. More to try and make them more well rounded but it takes time so I can't be bothered anymore. You have to decide if you want to at least go neutral on the flirting so it at least doesn't hurt the relationship and keep things easy. Or keep it to make the romance side of it a bit harder. I don't like the system, I hope when I remove lovestruck, it goes and wasn't a patched in item.

2)I loath werewolves in Sims 4. I found Wolfgang Wilder living in the lovestruck neighbourhood and decided to play him to try werewolves out. I like playing with him as a normal Sim but I find the werewolves such a negative experience. I haven't played vampires for sometime but I didn't like them either. So no, no sim that I play with has a hope in Sim hell of becoming one of those two occult creatures. I still have to play some of the other occults properly that are in the game tho.

if i have old clothes i want to get rid of, and they aren't high quality and in good condition where someone might actually want them, i just put them in the trash. i don't worry about recycling them 🤷‍♀️ i'm not going to take them to the thrift store where they will be thrown away by the employees, shipped overseas to go into a giant pile of unwanted clothes, or hang in the store and never be purchased. idc if i should find a way to recycle it. i just want rid of it.

i don't believe that the average person throws away 82 pounds of textiles in the trash every year. there is no way. this has to be including, like, getting rid of old carpets and random shit like that. not the average amount of clothes people throw out yearly. so it's kind of misleading.

-Someone posting a rant about how Sims being able to sell produce for high prices undervalues the work and importance of RL farmers
-Someone posting that they had ordered sex toys and had to throw the packaging out their car window so their parents wouldn't find it in the trash. People were like uh why not throw it away at the gas station? and they argued back and forth about how they couldn't possibly do that because their dad might drive past and see them there or something... it was ridiculous
-Someone saying that their friend had been told by her mother that after death we all sit and watch a movie of one another's lives played in real-time so they didn't want to do anything questionable in The Sims because their mom would see it eventually

I just found the most ridiculous review ever of my local Goodwill.
