It seems like everyone outside of Simsecret is so excited that they're even completely ignoring the problems that The Sims 2 Legacy Collection has brought:
(Clarification: The following is not mine, it is information that I just found, I am just republishing it)

* Missing IKEA pack (However I just found someone who solved this problem: https://github.com/hiloyt/the-sims-2-legacy-ikea)
* Missing licensed music
* Game keeps crashing
* Body Shop is nowhere to be found
* Some sounds sound even worse than in the original
* RPC launcher is broken, and some other mods seem to be broken as well (I don't know which ones exactly, I haven't seen a list listing them)
* It seems that the game does not use more RAM as promised in its technical specifications.
* Pink flashing and other issues still happening
* EA has stolen Nopke’s Shadow Fix
* There are several issues related to the DirectX 9 installation error
* The re-release includes the infamous Denuvo and I think sims 1 has it too (https://i.postimg.cc/Yqk4kNg1/20250131-170708.png)

That depends on you if you want to buy them or not, for my part I will continue using the pirated version of Complete Collection and Ultimate Collection that I have had since 2022 and 2021 respectively since everything I found about it is not very flattering, let's say.

(And it seems to me that The Sims 1 also have problems, but I have not found a post that compiles them)
