"BTW, the drinks cooler is actually a "Choose Your Own Adventure" object. It lets your Sims go jogging "through town" while you continue playing with Sims who remain on the lot. If you haven’t read the dedicated page about it, you’re missing most of the details. It’s far more than just a drink cooler. We also like to sneak in little easter eggs for those who pay attention.

And the teddy bear? Not your average plush. It adds custom gameplay, including a stalker who may sneak around your house.

As for the cakes, they’re not just decorative. They bring Sims together, boost social interactions, and affect specific interest points and moods. Each one includes 29 different toppers, painstakingly coded, not just swapped textures. Creating those toppers alone was a huge effort, especially since we included every skin tone and gender combo so people can create whatever wedding they like. The artwork was hand-drawn for detail, not generated from 3D sprite output.

If you’ve never made a Sims 1 object, I challenge you to try. But don’t just clone one. Hack it. Add custom interactions. Change animations. Throw in a new NPC. Because that’s the level we aim for at Zombie Sims."

lol right? so many people seem to want to paint everyone with the same brush but we all experience life differently. some people want to be parents and are great at it. some people don't want to be parents and live happy lives without ever having kids. some people don't have kids and then later in life regret it. some people become parents and then are horrible. sometimes someone has an unexpected pregnancy and has the baby and then they shape up and are a great and happy parent, but sometimes they don't. if the brain truly forced women to love their child then we wouldn't have that problem. it's so dumb when ppl are like "parents are miserable and hate their lives and don't want to admit it!" or "childfree people are missing out on the best part of life and are miserable!" we're all different and you can't generalize things like that, how/why is that so difficult for people to understand

i can kind of see where you're coming from op, a person's genetics and genealogy (and let's add in dreams while we're at it) are not usually very interesting to strangers. but i don't think it's a racism thing? i mean it's like if you play ts2 and see genetics go through the generations, it doesn't really mean anything to randos but seeing grandfather's eyes or w/e reappear is cool. besides i've seen poc discuss genetics too, not hair/eye color but other features like nose shape, height, etc, and it's just as boring then tbh

They got some small differences like lips and that one at the bottom has big ears. I don't know if toddlers are limited or they didn't want to exaggerate the features.

I never get these people who make money on old games. 1. The fanbase is small and you're not going to make a living from it. 2. Sims 1 and especially 2 are from an era where paid content was pirated and made free. 3. Go to second life, sims 4, or any game that has a community of creators selling things.

and what pisses me off as well is how people respond with that shit every time to someone saying "my life sucks" and you can just tell what they're really thinking is "you're bothering me by talking about that, you're making me uncomfortable, but I'm a nice person so I have to do something to help you" and "helping" is telling them to drug themselves
